Jim Price Photography

I took up photography in 1995 when I decided I needed a hobby.

I joined Leigh on Sea camera club. And quickly became a committee member.

In 2005 We decided to move to Needham Market where I applied to join the Beyond Group thinking it was just like a normal camera club, how wrong I was. With the positive comments from the group members I started to put a few good images together.

I heard of the PAGB FIAP and BPE for the first time and decided to give it a go in trying to gain some letters. I now have around 3000 acceptances with over 100 awards.

Having the Beyond Group use one of my images in a competition is fantastic.

In 2013 I tried sport photography and have been asked by

Ipswich Tigers to be their photographer, obviously I said yes.

Since joining the Beyond Group I have gained the following awards.

On the 23rd November 2008 I passed my DPAGB, using prints.

In December 2011 I obtained enough points to apply for my BPE 4*

On the 14th march 2012 I obtained my AFIAP.

In June 2013 I gained my EFIAP

July 2013 I was awarded BPE5*

On the 3rd June 2014 I was awarded EFIAP/b

Unfortunately due to ill health I decided to leave the Beyond Group. Christmas 2016.

I have now joined a super club East Ipswich Camera Club.

We have a fun evening Print lecture Called “Every Picture Tells a Story”.

Also

This has audience participation, good fun. Also Prints.

This is our motorhome, taken in Yorkshire in January 2018. We were on our way to Leicestershire and travelled at no more than 30 mph.

Blinking cold.

This is me dressed up for a 40’s weekend.

Although I was in the Army for 14 years. the navy uniform is more comfortable.
